Notes

"Through Alice Bailey, the Master Djwhal Khul predicted that [the externalisation of the Hierarchy] would begin around 1975. Precisely in 1975, five Masters did indeed come into the world -- in New York, London, Geneva, Darjeeling, and Tokyo. These were quickly followed by two more Masters, one in Moscow and one in Rome." (Benjamin Creme, Maitreya's Mission, Vol.III. p.4)
"The Master DK ... says that [the Alice Bailey teachings] will last for disciples at the present time, and for those coming into incarnation over the next years up until about half way through the next century. By that time, all that is so difficult and esoteric will become much more exoteric because the Hierarchy of Masters will be working in the world." (Benjamin Creme, Maitreya's Mission, Vol.III, p.465)
In His article 'The Great Approach' Benjamin Creme's Master writes: "Without exception, the Masters Themselves are experiencing a reorientation of procedures and methods unlike aught known before. During the last five centuries, They have gradually inaugurated changes in approach in preparation for the Great Approach, the externalization of Their work in the world...
"Now, waiting in the wings for the Day of Declaration which will signal Their Approach, the Guides of the race stand ready to serve advancing mankind. From the ranks of men the Masters have come; to Their ranks They beckon and welcome men." (Benjamin Creme (ed.), A Master speaks, p.135)

Section Two of this volume gives a fascinating and enlightening overview of recent world history and the underlying causes of World Wars I and II, which are seen by the Masters as one war.
In this Section the Master DK also speaks of the possibility and advisability of three major groupings of countries in the world: (1) A federal union of the Western democracies, including the British Commonwealth, the United States, the Scandinavian countries and northern Europe, including Germany; (2) A union of the Latin countries, including France, Spain, all the Mediterranean countries, most of the Balkan countries, and South America; and (3) The former Soviet Union in collaboration with certain Asian nations, such as China, and Japan:
"These three great blocs would not be antagonistic blocs but simply geographical spheres of influence. They would all three work in the closest unity and economic relation. Each nation within the three blocs would preserve its sovereign independence, but between these independent nations and between these blocs there would be identity of purpose, unity of effort and the recognition of the economic control of a league of nations. This league, being formed of the representatives of all the nations and its inner governing body being chosen by the three blocs, would control all sources of supply, distribute all such supplies and determine all economic policies." (p.201) Such a grouping would be a major step in the direction of world governance as described to Stefan Denaerde in Operation Survival Earth (1969) and proposed in Willy Brandt (ed.; 1980), North-South: A Programme for Survival.
