Notes
This book provides a comprehensive view of the Doctrine of the Coming One, showing that the expectation for further revelation and teaching is not exclusive to the Christian tradition.
The Master DK writes: "The 'point of decision' ... was reached during the period between the Full Moon of June, 1936, and the Full Moon of June, 1945... it resulted in the decision arrived at by the Christ to re-appear or return to visible Presence on Earth as soon as possible, and considerably earlier than had been planned." (p.69)
"The agony of the war, and the distress of the entire human family led Christ, in the year 1945, to come to a great decision... He announced to the assembled spiritual Hierarchy and to all His servants and disciples on Earth that He had decided to emerge again into physical contact with humanity, if they would bring about the initial stages of establishing right human relation..." (pp.30-31)
"He will come unfailingly when a measure of peace has been restored, when the principle of sharing is at least in process of controlling economic affairs, and when churches and political groups have begun to clean house." (p.163)
In Chapter V, 'The Teachings of the Christ', the Master DK outlines that His teaching will fall into four parts:
I. The Establishing of Right Human Relations
II. The Law of Rebirth
III. The Mysteries of Initiation, and
IV. The Dispelling of Glamour.
