Notes
"... disease is sometimes the working out into manifestation of undesirable subjective conditions. These, when externalized and brought to the surface of the human body, can be known, dealt with and eliminated. It is well to remember also that sometimes this working out and elimination may well bring about the death of that particular body. But the soul goes on. One short life counts for very little in the long cycle of the soul, and it is counted well worth while if a period of ill health (even if it eventuates in death) brings about the clearing away of wrong emotional and mental conditions." (p.41)
"Many years ago I used to give healings and was getting wonderful results. Then I read Esoteric Healing by Alice A. Bailey, and realized that I knew absolutely nothing about healing. I knew even less about the Law of Karma, and how that might govern someone's illness or cure. ... When a Master heals, He knows exactly how much energy in which particular chakra, is necessary, possible, right, to use. That is something we do not know. ... But if the motive is loving, and the healing is left to the healing powers of the Love of God or the Masters, or whatever you call it, what is right will be done. Keep yourself, the personal healer, out of it. Each one of us is a healing channel if we want to be, and when asked, we have the human duty to try to help." (Benjamin Creme, Maitreya's Mission, Vol.I, p.144.)
