In her usual foreword Karen Alexander denounces the "cars full of insomniac hoax-chasers armed with their fuzzy night-vision cameras," expressing her concern that they might have caused the circle-makers to scale back their activity in the Wiltshire, England area of the UK. But what the 2006 season lost in quantity, it made up for in quality of the designs, she concedes.
A selection of photographs from this edition was published in Share International No.2, March 2007, while three of the 2006 crop formations also feature in Benjamin Creme (2007), The World Teacher for All Humanity.
The DVD of the season's aerial crop circle hunting is titled The Towers and Beyond.
