Notes
In the third installment in the Maitreya's Mission triptych Benjamin Creme continues his elaboration of the Ageless Wisdom teachings, not only in Chapter 4, for which the interview with Rollin Olson (see also The Ageless Wisdom Teaching) serves as the core text, but also in chapters about modern discipleship (Chapter 3, "To Serve Anew"), famous artists and their ray structures, the antahkarana, and the unreality of time (in Chapter 8, "The art of waiting").
The first two chapters deal with Maitreya's priorities and the challenges of the 21st century, and feature interviews with Maitreya's associate and Benjamin Creme's Master. (Earlier interviews with Benjamin Creme's Master were published in Maitreya's Mission, Vol.II.)
This volume also contains a chronological overview of Maitreya's miraculous appearances to orthodox religious groups from 1992 to March 1997, as well as a comprehensive List of Initiates (up until 1997), with their ray structures and point in evolution. A complete overview of Maitreya's appearances is included in Benjamin Creme (2001), The Great Approach.
The painting on the cover is 'Cosmic Fire' (painted in 1984).
